International Coastal Cleanup 2015 - Zwartkops Conservancy
Message from Zwartkops Conservancy: On Sat 19th September - InternationalCoastal Cleanup day, the Zwartkops Conservancy assisted by our wonderful Sector Policing, the Life Savers & the metro cleaned up the Bluewater Bay beach, Port Elizabeth from Coega to Brighton Beach. This photo shows some of those who helped & the Sector Policing vehicles & trailers with some of the rubbish we picked up. This year we got more large sized items than before - so large they could not fit in bags! There were about 80 people on the BWB beach who picked up approx 200 bags of rubbish and many more large items. Our thanks to all who helped and special thanks to the Sector Policing because without them this could not have taken place. We also thank PlasticSA for sponsoring our cold drinks, sweets, bags & some of the gloves. It was good to be part of a world-wide event where people were cleaning the beach near them.
