Effectively Capture Pollution in Catch Basins: SOP Technologies Stormwater Catch Basin Treatment System
Our system is a California Water Board Certified Trash Full Capture System. The patented SOP Technologies Stormwater Catch Basin Treatment System is a modular, multi-phase filtration device designed to capture trash and debris within stormwater catch basins, significantly reducing pollutants entering our rivers, lakes, and oceans. This innovative solution simplifies maintenance and helps prevent costly street flooding, making your stormwater management more effective. This system is designed to capture all trash and debris greater than 5mm.
DUAL-PHASE FILTRATION FOR COMPREHENSIVE CAPTURE
Our system employs initial patented upward flow screens for larger debris, and secondary screens with 4.8mm holes. This ensures the capture of trash 5.0mm or greater and decreases maintenance costs because both screens operate longer before they need cleaning.

Included with our stormwater system are our patented QR Code Storm Drain Markers and software for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams and Community Engagement. Use the QR Code Markers and software for Asset Management, engaging your community to share what they see, and to log activities for MS4 and NPDES reporting.

Utilizes a multi-phase filtration system within the catch basin to capture trash.
Initial Screens: Patented upward flow system with 8.38 mm openings for larger debris filtration.
Secondary Screens: Made with perforated sheet metal featuring staggered 3/16" (4.8 mm) diameter round holes.
This design ensures capture of all trash particles greater than or equal to 5.0mm.

The system is custom-manufactured to fit existing infrastructure dimensions.
We use field measurements to determine optimal screen height and placement within catch basins.
Screen frames are modular and adaptable to varying field conditions.
In narrow catch basins, Initial Upward Flow screens (8.38 mm openings) can be omitted, but Secondary 4.8mm screens must always be used (for use in California).

Designed with an integrated overflow bypass above the screens.
At least 12 inches of space is left above the screens to manage flows exceeding the design peak rate.
This bypass also ensures vector control access.
Bypass flow rate for rectangular catch basins can be calculated using the Manning equation, and we can provide technical documentation with flow calculations.
